Bio.

Renee began her professional career in Australia in the field of corporate accounting at KPMG. She learned a lot about the rise and fall of privately held companies during her tenure in audit, insolvency, and transaction services. While in the field, Renee discovered her true passion was centered around the people component of these businesses, which then motivated her to leave public practice and enter into the talent space. As a recruiter working with some of Australia’s top executive search firms, Renee enjoyed the challenge of helping to take businesses to the next level with the best talent.

It was not until Renee joined her husband in founding and operating a technology company in Vancouver, that she truly began to appreciate the complexity and challenges of running an entrepreneurial business, first-hand. For more than a decade they struggled to manage the overwhelming needs of the business, while also raising their young family. Finally, they hit a ceiling in the business, and in life. It was clear that something had to change, fast.

In her drive to find a better way to run and manage their business, Renee discovered Traction by Gino Wickman. Armed with the book and her determination to turn the business around, Renee began a self-guided implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System tools and disciplines. Much to everyone’s surprise, it started to work. Within months the business stabilized, and within 12 months the company expanded to multiple locations and double-digit year-over-year growth.

In the process of turning her family business around, Renee discovered that she had a knack for teaching, coaching and facilitating the implementation of systems that generate and sustain performance over time. Hungry to do more, Renee took up the challenge to become a Certified EOS Implementer and launch Rise Up Business Coaching. In her first 5 years she was able to help hundreds of entrepreneurs gain control, increase value and get what they want from their business. 

As a seasoned EOS Implementer, speaker and Coach of Coaches, Renee started to get curious about the bigger questions entrepreneurs should be asking, tied to their whole life journey. Understanding that most entrepreneurs hold upward of 90% of wealth in their business asset, and close to the same number do not have a plan for their exit, Renee felt compelled to learn how to help owners maximize their business value, plan for their optimal transition and architect their life by design.

As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, with the Exit Planning Institute, Renee now plays quarterback for owners to help them get out of the operations, into the owner's box, and back in control of their life. Nothing fulfills her more than to see an owner achieve optimal valuation and a strategic exit on their terms, so that they can live their life by design, rather than default.
